I am a board-certified psychiatrist licensed to practice medicine in the state of California. I received my M.D. from the University of California – San Francisco (UCSF) where I then completed my internship and residency training in the field of Psychiatry. During this time, I worked with a group to create a Women’s Mental Health Focus Track within the Psychiatry training program. I was the first to graduate with this specialty focus in Women’s Mental Health.  I also trained with Dr. Louann Brizendine in her Women’s Mood and Hormone Clinic at UCSF.

Before and during my training, I was involved in a variety of research projects ranging from neuroendocrine research on the developing brain to medical education. I also have decades long experience in teaching.

To ensure that I am providing the highest quality of care for my patients, I maintain several professional memberships and regularly attend courses and conferences in the fields of psychiatry and mental health.
